internet cafes, gourmet coffee There are a couple of new internet cafes that have opened in my neighborhood during the summer, and they are more than welcome additions for local residents. They sell great gourmet coffee and coffee beans, and are a fun place to go to read emails, grab a good sandwich, and have a cup of espresso coffee. As a person who works at home, these four walls can become kind of confining, so having a retreat close to home to break up the day is a nice escape. Internet cafes have been around for a while, but these two are the first in my neighborhood, and the styles of the two couldn't be more different. One is upscale and sleek, and the other is colorful, homey, and relaxed. Both serve really great coffee and sandwiches, and have high speed internet access. Of the two, I prefer the down home, homey one because it has more comfortable seating and I love the bright colors inside it. ir's also locally owned by a married couple, and I like supporting mom and pop efforts. I think that people who go about enterprises independently and do a good job of it.
