About a decade ago when I would go to Europe with my family as a teenager, we would always stop by our home country to visit the relatives and hang out for a few weeks. Being the summer, everyone was on vacation that was around my age, so we had a lot of fun in the sun. Well, one of the things I always rememer were the internet cafes, and how we used to hang out there for hours.

Why internet cafes? Well, because they were an easy option to not having to buy a computer. Back then, a personal computer was really expensive and really not needed where I was from (Eastern Europe), and laptops were pretty much unheard of. But think of it. Internet Cafes are not such a recent concept - we have many examples of people renting rather than owning because owning is just not doable. How many people lease a car, or a house/apartment? Heck, today you can even rent designer purses just so you can have the feeling of carrying one around. So, the concept of the internet cafes isn't really that new - and, although it won't catch on here, it did once have a good purpose to keep people connected.
